We are now in the planning phase of our biggest fundraiser of the year—Denim & Diamonds! This is a community-
wide event, so please tell your friends and neighbors or bring them along with you. Wear your favorite denim and
“bling” and support Matthew’s Haven in our mission to nurture at-risk youth in our community by nouris
hing theirbody, enriching their mind, and lifting their spirit.
Some items for auction at the 2013 Denim & Diamonds included: artwork by Lucy Sawyer, pontoon boat outing on the Chickahominy River and dinner at Blue Heron Restaurant, hand-painted children’s table and chairs by Kristin and Lindy Brammer, Kingsmill golf outing, authentic Cracker Barrel rocking chair, weekend adventure to Great Wolf Lodge, and many other exciting items! Be on the lookout and “like” our Facebook page to receive updates on items available for bidding.
The evening will begin at 6:30 pm; bidding will begin at 6:45. This year’s event will feature a live auction in the midst
of our silent auction; the live auction bidding will begin at 8:00. Winners will be announced around 9:10 and the
event will wrap up around 9:30 pm. There also willbe a 50/50 raffle where Matthew’s Haven will select
the lucky winner of a lovely handmade quilt. We are looking for a very nice antique piece for our live auction.
If you have a beautiful antique that you are no longer using and
would like to donate it to us for this great cause and special
event, please contact us as soon as possible.
Tickets for Denim & Diamonds are $35 and they include a reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres, two drin
k tickets for each adult attending, live music, and a cash bar. Last year was so much fun! We hope you will join us
